Olga Polyakova is russian light lyric soprano. She began her studies in Moscow Music Academy with professor Belyakova. During her studies she has performed the role of Adina in “L’Elisir d’amore” of Donizetti, Cupid and Venus in “King Arthur” of Purcell and the part of Lucy in “The Telephone” of Menotti. She also sang in concerts as soloist with ensamble “Antique Music” of Moscow under the guidance of T.Gridenko where among other she sang Mozart’s “Requiem”, Vivaldi’s “Gloria”, Beethoven’s ”Messe Solemnis”, Bruckner’s “Te Deum”, Boismortier’s “Diane et Acteon” and “L’hiver” as well as other sacral and modern music.
After graduating the Moscow Music Academy in 1999 with highest scores Olga Polyakova was admitted to become a member of the International Opera Studio in Zürich where she studied with prof. Günther. During her studies she has participated in various master classes given by such known singers as Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Horst Günter and Thomas Hampson. She has also sang on the stage of Theater Zürich the roles of Zerlina in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” in Peter Konwichny’s regie, Blonde in Mozart’s “Die Entführung aus dem Serail”, Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”, Serpina in Pergolesi’s “La serva padrona” and Taumännchen and Sandmännchen in Humperdink’s “Hansel und Gretel”.
She also participated in various vocal music competitions becoming the finalist of the “Nightmare country Festival” in Wittenberge and in “The International Ferruccio Tagliavini Vocal Competition”.
After finishing her studies in 2003 she has made active concert activity collaborating offtently as soloist with such orchestras as: SWR-Orchestra, WDR-Orchestra, Berliner Symphoniker and such conducters as: Lior Shambadal, Naiden Todorov, Peter Falck, David Parrz, Manfres Honeck, Enoch zu Guttenberg and Vassilis Christopoulos. She also sang sacred music concerts in different parts of Germany and participated as soloist in the “European Music Festival” singing different Mozat’s peaces.
In the same time Olga Polyakova has started working as a free artist in different german theaters singing The queen of the Night (Die Königin der Nacht) in “Die Zauberflöte” of Mozart, Cunigonde in Bernstein’s “Candide”, Arminda and Sandrina in Mozart’s “La finta Giardiniera”, Viole and Sun in R.Ayre’s “Cricket recovers” – the german world premiere, Countess Stasi in Kalmann’s “Csardasfürstin” and Lauretta in Pergolesi’s “Il Maestro di Musica”.
Since 2008 Olga Polyakova has become the Staatsoper Stuttgart’s ensamble soloist and sings in J.Dove’s “The Adventures of Pinocchio” (The blue fairz, Cricket, Parrott), Verdi’s “Aida” (La sacerdotessa), Mozart’s “Zaide” (Zaide), Händel’s “Theseo” (Clizia) and in Bizet’s “Carmen” (Frasquita).
Most oftently she sings the part of the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”.
